Annual General Meeting

Members are invited to come along to the Annual General Meeting and have their say about how he Branch is faring and the direction it should be heading in.

It is worth attending - after ideas from members at last years meeting we have now introduced payment by BACS this year.

It's also a great opportunity to have a couple of pints with fellow fans and discuss progress under Steve Bruce.

Venue: The Sekforde Arms, Clerkenwell

Tracey's Travels - travel news

Hello again! I am pleased to report we have renewed our agreement with Grand Central and will be using them for travel to most of our home games in the coming season. There will be no increase in fare which means £34 for Adults and £17 for Junior members and Senior Railcard holders.

There is also promising news that we may once more be able to have group travel with Virgin Trains and I have already made a booking with them for the Bolton and Man. Utd. away games. However this will not be possible for the Stoke game as it is Bank Holiday week-end. Details are now on the Traveline.

We are also this season prepared to receive online payment for travel bookings. Full details of the requirements for this are attached as a separate document so you can print it off and keep for future reference. Also attached are some travel booking forms which you may find useful.

A defender notorious for not choosing the safe option, he produced this heartfelt cry of anguish from the Clock Stand: “Reuben Agboola, there were three things you could have done with that ball. That wasn't one of them.”

Spawned one of the better player songs: “Reuben Agboola, da, da, da, da, da” to the tune of ‘Jackie Wilson said' (Van Morrison/ Dexy's Midnight Runners).

1933 Joe Devine transferred to QPR

Signed for what some felt was an exorbitant sum from the Mags, we fortunately recouped most of the transfer fee when QPR signed him for £2,500 a couple of years later.
